St. Mary’s Church, Almeley
News in the parish
Throughout the year we ask you to bring tinned food, dried food, etc. to the church to be sent to the Community Larder centres in the county. In particular we have been asked for sugar, tinned custard, rice pudding, tinned vegetables, tinned meat and tuna.
These centres help people who are in need by providing them with a bag of essential food. There will be a box at the back of the church in which to put your offerings.
There is a Community Larder in Kington, and that is where your donations will be taken.
Quarterly prizes of £100 and £50 and £25 in June, September and March, with prizes of £250, £100, £50 and £25 in December.
Full details can be found here.
We are anxious to involve the whole parish in this project so If you feel you would like to join in this simple scheme, or for further information and application form contact Elizabeth Shayler by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Membership does not need to be restricted to Almeley parishioners, so if your family or friends would be interested in joining, please ask Elizabeth for more than one form.
