St. Mary’s Church, Almeley
There are many ways you can help St Mary’s church. Some involve giving a donation or regular donations, either by standing order and/or by giving to the collection in church. Many people give money to St Mary’s for the upkeep of the church, the churchyard, the organ, the choir, the bells, or to further the work of the church in the community.
We are very grateful for all this help – without it we would not be able to continue our role at the centre of the community.
If you would like to donate to the church on a more regular basis it is possible to set up a standing order from your bank. For more about giving by standing order please contact the Treasurer, Shirley Tully
Did you know that if you are a UK taxpayer you can ‘Gift Aid’ any donations, including money you put in the collections, which allow us to recover tax from the taxman. Last year alone we recovered over £2,000 this way, and as we all know – ‘every penny counts’. If you want to know more about Gift Aid please click here for a declaration form.
There are also many other ways you can give, and time is one of the most important. Both within our worship - whether it is reading a lesson in church, or leading intercessions - and in the many tasks that keep St Mary’s at the centre of Almeley life - helping to keep the churchyard tidy, or helping at the many church functions in the church and in the village.
If you wish to be involved or want more details please contact one of the Church Wardens or the Vicar. Their contact details are here.
